The Latinum Podcast http://latinum.mypodcast.com is almost at its half millionth download, as I write this, a number of downloads I certainly never expected to see. There is now a steady 100 000 downloads per month. Users are scattered all over the world - Australia, Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, and of course, Europe and the Americas. There are over 1 000 regular down loaders of the lessons and recordings, and around 15 to 20 new users find their way to the podcast every day.
Of late, I have been adding to the Adler recordings, and one new recording from Johan Winge, of the Ages of Man sequence from Ovid.
I have not had time to chase up more university professors and grad students for further recordings - but I do want to improve on the corpus of oral Latin on offer. Adler, however, is priority number one. At the current rate, it will take me over a year to complete the series.
I keep getting emails from users about how the course has accelerated their Latin dramatically. I know Adler is not a perfect text - it would benefit from some simple stories, and more extensive and developed dialogues, etc, but on the whole, I find it entertaining enough.
I have recently added a FAQ to help users, and an updated index to the Adler lessons.
