I held a study session last week for students, and was surprised at how many of them could define mnemonic, but could not produce one. The lack of imagination, and the quick rate of "giving up" was depressing. Does anyone have ideas for sparking imagination? I just made up my own rhymes and songs on the spot and made a fool of myself, but even that didn't seem to make them want to try.
