Hometown/Institution:
Franklin Road Academy
Role in the Classics Classroom (real or virtual):
teacher
About Me:
I am a fifth year teacher of Latin levels I-AP Vergil and Literature (also Mythology and English vocabulary). I originally emphasized in classical archaeology and worked on Crete and in Athens, and as a research assistant for some professors in the U.S. Since graduating, I have enjoyed teaching Latin at a 1-to-1 tablet PC school where I have been fortunate to have access to many new technologies. I am a huge proponent of increasing the use of technology in education and classics in particular.

Favorite on-line spots for education:
Collegeboard
Vicipaedia
Googlus
Best/worst computer-related classroom happening:
Can't say that I have had too many problems in the last two years in the one-to-one classroom--my first wireless projector was too slow to be useful, sometimes a program isn't installed on everyone's computer at the first moment I want to use it, but those occurances are becoming less frequent.

It is very interesting to learn about all the different hardware, software and internet options available to all of us and see how people have…

<strong>Microsoft <em>Surface</em></strong>

Has anybody checked out the new Microsoft Surface--it will revolutionize our coffee tables, our walls, counters, everything--and probably further overindulge our overly-stimulated, technology hungry, little minds! It will revolutionize the ways were interact with technology.…
