- A very interesting web site. Since most people in our modern age are so illiterate when it comes to the classics, it can be a shock to see how closely the state of our 21st-century republic/empire resembles that of the reigning world power from two millennia ago. Do you think Cicero has a counterpart in the U.S. of today? Nader would be the only one I could think of, but the comparison is silly. Perhaps our present political milieu isn't one to create great figures.
Anyhow, keep it up.
