About Me:
Hello and welcome! I'm a freelance writer with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in theology. I'm interested in ancient religion, paranormal phenomena, and occult knowledge. I read tarot cards and interpret dreams. Learning the importance of individuality and caring for others facilitate psychic abilities.

We live in a materialistic world dominated by commercial interests, and it is hard to develop our true individuality and express ourselves fully. I'm delighted to be a member of e-Classics and look forward to my membership and our correspondence.

My website is the Tarot Forum. Please feel welcome to visit it often and participate in forum discussions at www.tarotforum.webs.com You'll find interesting reading and exercises to promote free thought and psychic growth. Our purpose is to build a commmunity of gifted persons. -- Stephen Contrado, B.A., Th.M.

Favorite on-line spots for the Classics:
I like Google Books and downloading the full text of books in PDF format. I use Foxit Reader.
Favorite on-line spots for education:
I like Wikipedia a lot because it is a free, multilingual encyclopedia (even having articles in Latin).
Best/worst computer-related classroom happening:
My Toshiba laptop died after giving me seven years of devoted service. I had most of my files backed-up on an external hard-drive, but I lost some useful programs and files. I bought another Toshiba and like it, but the Windows Vista isn't compatible with my scanner, printer, or digital camera, which all worked well for me with Windows XP.

VENUS, GODDESS OF LOVE AND BEAUTY

Stephen Contrado, B.A., Th.M.

Many anthropologists and scholars believe that before the warring Greek-speaking people invaded Greece the indigenous population of the mainland and the Minoans on the Island of Crete worshipped a female divinity, a mother goddess (often accompanied by a smaller male god). The goddess was associated with nature and with the protection of the social order. When the Indo-Europeans conquered the… Continue
