- I am the Immediate Past Chair of Excellence Through Classics Elementary/Middle Levels, a standing committee of the American Classical League for Introductory, Elementary, and Middle School Classics programs. I serve as the Public Relations contact for ETC and on the Committee for Latin in Elementary Schools for a subcommittee of the National Committee for Latin and Greek.
I also serve as the Director of Community Outreach and Special Projects for Coins for Education,Inc. and on the Education Task Force for the Ancient Coin Collectors Guild. I am one of two teachers in the United States who serves as part of the Primary Latin Project for the UK.

National Latin Teacher Recruitment Week

I have found the listserve to be EXTREMELY helpful (though I think I may have caused problems). And I am really enjoying NING. Hope all is well.

- Excellence Through Classics is a subcommittee of the American Classical League for elementary, middle school and introductory Classics programs. The ETC sponsors the National Mythology Exam (NME- designed for grades 3-9) and the Exploratory Latin Exam (ELE-designed for grades 3 - 6).
The deadline for registration for the NME is January 15th. The exam must be administered anytime between February 25 - March 7. The exam includes Greek and Roman mythology. The theme for this year is Theseus. Awards are Gold, Silver, and Bronze medallions imported from Italy. The National Association of Secondary School Principals has placed the NME on the NASSP National Advisory List of Contests and Activities for 2007-2008.
The deadline for the ELE is March 1, 2008. This exam for grades 3-6 must be administered before April 1st.
Awards are certificates and participation ribbons.
