More wired than a Roman Internet café

I started a new guild in World of Warcraft two days ago. The guild is called Carpe Praedam (seize the booty/loot/lewt/1007) and is intended to be Latin-only. Players in the guild are encouraged to speak/chat in Latin while playing and campaigning together. This is great practice for conversational Latin, learning Latin military terms, and out-geeking the geeks in-game. At this writing, we have three players on the charter (we need ten to become official). It's OK if you are new to the game. Experienced players can coach you through the interface and introductory quests. I am on most nights from 9-12 Central Time, so please PST (whisper) me when you're on, and I'll meet you to get your signature, or send me mail in-game with when/where to meet. Each of the first 10 charter members will get 10g starter money. Guild bank coming soon for gear collection/distribution.

If you're interested, here are my details:

Realm: Feathermoon
Guild Name: Carpe Praedam (this is a Horde guild -- Alliance guild forthcoming)
Guild Master Name: Philabovis (my character -- or toon -- a 66 Tauren hunter)

I hope to see you in Azeroth and Outlands!

Vale,

Andrew (aka Philabovis, who has a 66 pet kitty named Roy who eats gnomes for breakfast)

Hi, Rowena,

I believe that Carpe Praedam is officially defunct. However, that's not to say that your student couldn't raise it from the ashes and recruit other to join for Latin WoW goodness.

Andrew
