- The best and worst new tool I've discovered is the Toshiba tablet. Its writing feature allows me to write directly on the screen onto all types of documents. The tablet can plug into a computer projector which projects the images onto a large screen. The SmartBoard recording feature allows me to "tape" a lesson and save it as a video. I save the documents and videos and post them as notes. My students can see the screen better than the board and they like to use it. I wish each of my students had a tablet too.
The tablet is also my worst experience as far as software incompatibility and crashing and stalling, etc... I'm waiting for a tablet-type Mac to come out soon.
