Law professor, left law to study Classics at Penn (post-bac), then UT & OSU. Wish to work on ancient Greek primer/materials for children w/ aim of strengthening vocabulary, instilling love of language, sparking excitement and imagination.
Have taught 4th and 7th graders in short experimental segments as a volunteer (once in WV while practicing corp. law) as well as to my law students in China (some of whom were very eager to learn Greek).
One major spark to my own pursuit of Classics was reading Black Athena and getting to know its author many years back. But it was disappointing to discover the disdain in which he was held in the Classics establishment.
