More wired than a Roman Internet café

Online game-ed classics: a bit of press in the Chronicle

My current practomimetic (i.e. game) course in Horace's Roman odes, Satire 1.2, and Ovid's Amores and Ars Amatoria got a little mention on the Chronicle's "Wired Campus" blog.

I'm blowing my own cornu this way in order to make the even more shameless announcement that I've just finished putting together a potted workshop called "Practomimetic education in the classics classroom: a modest proposal," which gives an audience a toolbox of RPG and general online participatory-pedagogy tools with a very low technology bar. I'd love to try it out on any audience who might sit through it!
