Role in the Classics Classroom (real or virtual):
About Me:
I'm a composer and ethnomusicologist with an abiding passion for ancient music. I'm trying to learn Latin and brush up on my Ancient Attic and Koiné Greek in order to become fully conversational. In the future I would like to start some sort of celebrity blog in Latin.

I'm working on a series of transcriptions of very ancient pieces from the Levant, specifically Babylonian ritual music, Hurrian codexes, music from the First and Second Temple Periods, and early Greek and Latin song and ceremonial music.
My Website:
Favorite on-line spots for the Classics:
Ephermeris (http://ephemeris.alcuinus.net/) is one of favorite sites to read Latin news and headlines; something like the Nuntii Latini site on YLE, but with a broader, more magazine-like feel and look to it.

For news in Attic Greek, I usually turn to Akropolis (http://www.akwn.net/).

I love Vicipaedia (http://la.wikipedia.org/), although it looks it needs a lot of volunteers.

Also among my favorites is a site about Ancient Greek music (http://www.oeaw.ac.at/kal/agm/).

Of course, you have to love Perseus, too! (http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/)
Favorite on-line spots for education:
The Latinum podcast (http://latinum.mypodcast.com) by Evan Milner is probably the best one out there for intensive spoken Latin, however Seumas Macdonald's Lingua Latina et Graeca (http://jeltzz.com/lingualatinaetgraeca.html) is comparable, and considerably more forward than Latinum.
