More wired than a Roman Internet café

Another setting of Resonet in Laudibus

A propos of Laura's most recent post in her Christmas songs series, there is also a rather lovely 19th century setting of this carol by Anselm Schubiger (1815-1888). A PDF of the music is downloadable via the ChoralWiki page. This setting uses only three verses of the original Latin carol that Laura posted and has a melody that's very much in the style of classical/romantic/south German traditional folk music. Very Christmassy and rather compulsively singable (I became aware of this setting on Christmas Day last year when the church choir sang it at Mass, found the score on the Internet and then couldn't stop singing it around the house!
