More wired than a Roman Internet café

We need support to translate Ubuntu into Latin

400 PEOPLE NEEDED TO CREATE THE FIRST OPERATING SYSTEM IN LATIN LANGUAGE

The work consists in translating all Ubuntu applications texts and messages from English to Latin language, with a whole of 436,000 short sentences, corresponding about 1000 sentences per person. Example:

Learn more about GNOME → Magis discere de GNOME
Error reading file → Lapsus dati legendi

I contact you to find volunteers who take part directly and resend the message to other patential collaborators.
This project would be among other ones already implemented, such as the Latin Wikipedia

To take part in the project, you must firstly sign up in the following platform:

This is an EXCELLENT idea, and something entirely do-able. I will post to some other discussion lists and fora to see if we can drum up additional intellectual support for the project.

Another place to advertise this is on schola - but you'll have to write your request in Latin.

Finding 400 people will be a stretch.....

Evan.
There's currently no group to manage the translations. I'd be willing to join in on helping translate for the *buntu team. Was there anyone else interested in doing this?
