Erm, apollywoggles, Eric, I'm in charge of freshmen and behind my coffee curve for the morning, which equals pedantic. To make "evolvere" past tense, I would check the dictionary for the principal parts and apply the verb ending chart. Without a complete sentence, I hesitate to presume which past tense [and voice] you need here. More to the point, and without that context, [e]volvo volvere is probably an acceptable word, but [ex]plico plicare might be a better choice for the idea of [un]folding [in steps] rather than [un]rolling [as a continuum]. I would not use vello vellere for "unravel," because that is a destructive process, specifically from wool crafts. My Smiths and my Lewis & Short are at home -- can't quite spare the attention right now to go hit the online Lewis & Short via the Perseus portal to refine the vocabulary farther. Hope this helps.

From a cursory look, retexo might be a better verb.
infinitas retexta = infinity (having been) unraveled, unraveled infinity.
